- TEAM LIMIT: To provide the safest and most beneficial learning environment, we capped our total team size at 250.
- SWIM TEAM REQUIREMENT: We ask that your child is water-safe, comfortable with putting their head underwater, and able to swim one lap (25 yards) using a kickboard.
- VOLUNTEERING: One parent (or family member/guardian) MUST volunteer. A buy-out option is available for those who prefer.
- A legal parent or guardian must complete REGISTRATION.
- Free Team T-Shirt & Swim Cap: Each Swimmer will receive a free team t-shirt on picture day. Swimmers will wear their team shirts for the picture. Please indicate the t-shirt size during registration. If desired, a latex swim cap will also be provided to each swimmer.*

- Additional Team Gear (Personalized Caps, Shirts, Hats, Flannel PJs, etc.): We will sell merchandise on our website on a pre-order-only basis for the 2026 season. Stay tuned for information at the beginning of the season!
*Personalized silicone swim caps are also available for an additional charge.
Overview: We are a volunteer-run organization. All funds collected at registration pay for coaches, equipment, supplies (athlete t-shirts and swim caps, ribbons), insurance, and league dues. We also solicit sponsors to offset some of these costs.
Due Date: All payments are due on or before the first day of practice. For insurance/liability reasons, a swimmer will not be allowed in the water until payment is received.
Refund Policy: Families can request refunds by emailing [email protected]. Refunds are available until the end of the second week of practice, minus the non-refundable Swimtopia registration and processing fees paid at registration. No refunds will be issued from the third week of the season onward.
Prorated Fees: Registration fees cover the complete summer season. There are no prorated fees for late start or not finishing the season regardless of reason.
Green Valley Swim Team is proud to be a volunteer-run organization. We sincerely appreciate our volunteers' time and effort in making our swim meets successful. We understand that unexpected situations can arise, so if you anticipate being delayed, please don’t hesitate to text us (213.458.5084) to keep us informed.
That said, punctuality is crucial for the smooth operation of our swim meets. To ensure fairness and accountability, a $50 late fee will be applied after a written warning for arrivals 15 to 30 minutes late, and a $150 no-show fee will be applied for arrivals more than 30 minutes late.
Thank you for your understanding and dedication to our team—we couldn’t do this without you!
Swim practice and meets proceed rain or shine!
However, in the event of a thunderstorm or lightning, all swimmers will be prohibited from entering the pool until 30 minutes after the last lightning strike or thunder. There will be no refund or make-up dates for cancelled practices due to weather.
