Swim background and highlights: Hi all, many of you might know me as Vladi's grandson or just coach Alex. I've been participating in competitive swimming since I was about 11 years old. I began teaching swim at the age of 17 and did not start coaching until I was 19. Swimming is a such an interesting sport, and although I love all strokes, freestyle is my favorite. Interestingly my stroke is much better than it was back in high school. I did not understand the technique as much as I do now, maybe its due to watching so many swim videos on youtube. I also lifeguarded in 2006 for Green Valley. As far as coaching this is my first year.
