Swim Conference Official Rules
The Green Valley swim team promotes an atmosphere where all
swimmers have the opportunity to learn and enjoy participating
in a team sport. Swimmers behaving in an un sportsmanlike
manner including threatening or harassing other swimmers may be
warned or asked to leave the team.
Adults, please review these expectations with your swimmer(s).
Swimmers will…
1. Listen and adhere to coaches instructions.
2. Not, through their actions, create an atmosphere that
prevents other swimmers from enjoying and benefiting from the
team experience.
3. Stay off the bottom of the pool during
practice laps.
4. Stay off the lane lines always.
5. Swim all
the way to every wall after each lap during practice.
6. In
preparation for practice, enter the pool deck in a respectful
manner and sit on the wall until instructed to enter the pool.
7. Inform the coaches with a written note five days before a
meet if you cannot attend that meet (by Monday before a Saturday
meet) Or, sign out on the sheet hanging on the bulletin board at
the gate where you sign in for practice.

9. If
sick the morning of the swim meet, will call the Hotline,
450-6565 before 7:00 a.m.
During meets, Swimmers will…
1.
Be on time for sign-in and warm ups.
2. Make sure you have
checked in and that your number is written on your arm.
3. Help
pick up trash you may have dropped or you may see.
4. Be alert
for your race times.
5. Always practice good sportsmanship.
6.
Listen to your parents, coaches and race officials.
7. Have Fun!
